Okay, the story behind this is so long, but maybe it just seems that way. My friends had this adorable salt and pepper shaker that I have absolutley coveted for the last 10 years. Seriously. When I visit their house, I “pretend” I am trying to steal it (if only they would leave me alone with it long enough!)
Ever since I laid eyes on this cat, I have been searching everywhere for one just like it. Ebay, flea markets, yards sales, garbage dumps, Kitchen Kapers, etc. Not only have I been searching for it, but my entire family has been on the lookout for it as well! I mean, how sad for us!
Last week, I visited my friend, and she said she had a present for me. She made me sit down, since she said it was breakable. Well, I looked into the bag, and under the tissue paper, I could see that it was the salt shaker. I started laughing, and then started crying. I can’t begin to express how much it meant to me that she had given it to me. She said she was going to give it to me when I got married, but since that wasn’t happening anytime soon, she thought the cat would have a better time with me than with them.
He is so cute!!!!
